Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using the CB-106 Script Liner and the CB-604 Soft Fan Brush apply two coats of FN-001 White to the chest, tip of tail and parts of the face.
  3. Using the same brush apply  2 coats of FN-51 Strawberry over the body of the fox omitting the feet and where you just painted white.
  4. While the glaze is drying, cut a length of eyelash yarn about 18 inches.  You will be working in sections so the glaze remains wet.
  5.  Using the CB-604 Soft Fan Brush brush another coat of the FN-51 Strawberry over the previous glaze color so the glaze is wet.  Place the eyelash yarn into the wet glaze and using the CB-604 Soft Fan brush apply a coat of the FN-051 Strawberry over the eyelash yarn.  The goal is to get the eyelash yarn stuck down into the glaze so that the next top coat of color will not seep under the eyelash yarn.
  6. As it begins to dry, pat with a paper towel to remove excess glaze.  This will remove excess glaze, speed the drying time and press the eyelash yarn down.
  7. When the shine is off of the FN-051 Strawberry glaze, use the CB-604 Soft Fan Brush and apply one coat of  EL-128 Wheat over the red and white glazed areas of the fox.
  8. Remove the eyelash yarn when the gloss leaves the glaze.
  9. Using the CB-106 Script Liner apply two coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the feet, tail and nose of the fox.  If the EL-128 Wheat is on the black areas, it is best to remove as it with a damp sponge.  Combining the two will effect the black glaze fired finish.
  10. Use the SG-401 Black to outline a few of the body parts of the fox, shade under the head, in the ears and the chest with SC-15 Tuxedo if desired.
  11. The eyes are painted with SG-401 Black or SSC-15 Tuxedo  Since Elements glaze is a moving glaze it is easier to outline after fired once and then re-fire to cone 06 - this is an option.
  12. Fire to cone 05/06.
