Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf Cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-001 White to the top of the tile.
- Apply 2 coats of FN-019 Dark Blue on top of the FN-001 White. While applying the second coat of FN-019, "swish" in blended spots of FN-022 Tan to lighten. Blend well.
- Using a pencil or carving tool, lightly incise and scratch through the top layers of glazes until you come to the FN-001 White, making sure not to go through to the bisque. Continue until your design is complete. Helpful hints: Sgraffito incising is easier to do when the glaze is damp. If the glaze becomes to dry apply a light coat of water or top color to dampen. If the glaze is to dry, the glaze will chip while incising.
- Allow to dry.
