Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SW-108 Green Tea to the ribbed edge of the bowl.
- Condition a CB-110 #10 Liner by: dampen the brush in water and squeeze out any excess water. Load the brush with AC-525 Brush Cleaner then squeeze between a paper towel.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply vertical lines close together on the banded edge with AC-302 Wax Resist.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SW-130 Copper Jade to the entire bowl front and back. If the glaze does not resist from the wax, brush over with some water. Allow to dry,
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply on a heavy coat of SW-108 Green Tea to the inside of the bowl, and while it is wet, use the fan to spiral a coat from the center to the edge of the bowl, press down on the fan. You should see the glaze in a spiral. A banding wheel can be used for this step. Allow to dry.
- With a damp sponge, wipe off any excess glaze off the foot of the bowl.
- Place unstilted, on a high-fired, kiln washed kiln shelf.
- Fire to shelf cone 5/6.
