Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-001 White on the top of the plate.
  3. Draw heart pattern on paper and cut out. Fold heart in half and add additional cut-out - as you would when creating a paper snowflake.
  4. Apply one more coat of FN-001 White, and while wet lay the cut-out heart in the center of the plate. Be sure to seal the edges of the heart down with your finger, smearing glazes on them to make sure they are saturated.
  5. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-004 Red to the entire piece.
  6. Once the glaze is no longer shiny, but still moist, remove the paper heart.
  7. Using the AC-213 1¼" Sponge on a Stick load the sponge with SC-70 Pink-A-Dot. Tap the SC-70 Pink-A-Dot onto the ST-368 Ornate Border Stamp then press the stamp gently onto the piece covering the top of the plate.  Allow to dry.
  8. Allow plate to dry completely.
  9. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
