Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Cut a 1 ½ inch circle from paper then trim the edges with pinking scissors for the center design.
  3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 heavy coats of SC-70 Pink-A-Dot to the center section of the heart, making sure to brush enough area so that the paper will overlap the painted section.
  4. Wet the pink glazed area with water then place the paper cut circle on the space, press with a paper towel.
  5. Cut out the key from the pattern, trace the shape of the key to the heart.
  6. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the space, going over the edges of the trace line, stick the paper to the glaze as in above direction.
  7. Sponge off any Tuxedo from around the paper key, as black may show through the red glaze.
  8. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-004 Red to the entire heart.
  9. When dry, pencil in small hearts cascading through the heart, fill in with SA-001 White Accent.
  10. Squeeze some of the SA-001 White Accent onto a tile.
  11. Using the AC-213 1¼" Sponge on a Stick load the sponge with SA-001 White. Tap the SA-001 White onto the ST-344 Paisley Stamp then press the stamp gently onto the heart.  Allow to dry.
  12. Use the SA-001 White Accent to detail the flower design in the paisley stamp.
  13. Draw or trace on the keyhole in the center of the pink circle.  Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply SC-15 Tuxedo to the keyhole.  Allow to dry.
