Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Place some S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water). It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the vase and roll around to completely coat the interior of the vase. Drain out the excess glaze and keep vase inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge Also remove the glaze inside of the neck. Allow to dry.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of Blue Grotto starting three inches from the top of the vase.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, plop PC-602 White Cascade one inch from the bottom of the EL-118 Blue Grotto area leaving open spaces.
- Repeat the step above using EL-207 Gold Mine.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, add veins with SC-15 Tuxedo
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply three coats of EL-120 Black Ice at the top of the vase unevenly over lap onto the Blue Grotto about ½ inch and the inside neck. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
