Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Transfer your pattern using a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper or sketch it on freehand.
  3. On a palette, put some SC-46 Rawhide and water down really well.
  4. Using a CB-434 3/4" Oval Mop, fill ware with the watered down color and plop in the background on your ware.
  5. Place on a palette, SC-22 Carrot Top, SC-5 Tiger Tail, SC-6 Sunkissed, SC-16 Cotton Tail and SC-24 Dandelion.
  6. Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, pick up 4 of those colors (multiloading) on your brush and pull in the petals of your daisies. Do all the petals this way. The smaller flower petals are just short strokes with the same brush and color combination.
  7. On a palette put some SC-14 Java Bean and some SC-24 Dandelion.
  8. Using an AC-212 3/4" Sponge on a Stick apply SC-14 Java Bean and pull it through the SC-24 Dandelion. Gently lay your sponge on your ware and press gently. This will give your daisy it's centre.
  9. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, take some SC-14 Java Bean, water this down and pull in some fine lines on the petals. Do this from the centre of the flower. Paint towards your heart and you will get finer lines, as long as you have your liner brush pointing to the ceiling.
  10. Using the same brush and color, pull in some fine stems on all your flowers and give the Baby's Breath some fine lines within the shape. The flower heads will be filled with SA-003 White in the next step.
  11. Take the SA-003 White and swirl in some flower heads for the Baby's Breath.
  12. Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round and a CB-110#10/0 Liner, paint in your bee and dragonfly if they are part of your composition. The bee is it SC-6 Sunkissed and SC-15 Tuxedo. The dragonfly is SC-15 Tuxedo and SC-60 Silver Lining for the wings. Sign your work. Allow to dry well.
  13. Apply S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing
  14. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
