Instructions
-
Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
-
Fill the plastic cup with one tablespoon of SC-40 Blueberry Hill and one tablespoon of water. Stir with end of brush. Dip sea sponge into plastic cup mixture and toss at center of plate five to six times. Let dry.
-
Use the CB-618 #8 Soft Fan to apply three coats of SC-215 Speckled Tuxedo to entire plate. Let dry.
-
Place Astronaut Pattern near center of plate. With back end of the brush, trace firmly over astronaut. Remove pattern.
-
Use toothpick to etch over imprint left by Astronaut Pattern. Sharpen lines and add detail where desired. Avoid over-etching design.
-
Use CB-404 #4 Pointed Round to apply two coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail as highlights on astronaut. Dab on highlights in heavily etched areas: chest, knees, arms, and front of helmet.
- Apply clear glaze and fire to Cone 06.
