Instructions

 

 

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-009 Black into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it. It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the planter and roll around to completely coat the interior of the planter. Drain out the excess glaze and keep planter inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
  3. With a pencil trace on the pattern using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper.
  4. Outline the entire pattern with SA-002 Black Accent. Allow to dry.
  5. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, fill in the mountain and tulips with 2 to 3 coats of SP-206 Speckled Sunkissed.
  6. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, fill in the bushes and some of the tulip leaves with 2 to 3 coats of SP-226 Speckled Green Thumb.
  7. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, fill in the remaining tulip leaves with 2 to 3 coats of SP-227 Speckled Sour Apple.
  8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, fill in the window frame and larger section of the cat with 2 to 3 coats of SP-216 Speckled Cotton Tail.
  9. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, fill in the table top and legs with 2 to 3 coats of SP-227 Speckled Sour Apple.
  10. Using the CB-110 #10/0 Liner, fill in the shadow area behind the table legs with 2 to 3 coats of SP-260 Speckled Silver Lining.
  11. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, fill in the sky area with 3 coats of SP-212 Speckled Moody Blue.
  12. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, fill in the dog with 3 coats of SP-205 Speckled Tiger tail.
  13. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, fill in the cat's and dog's nose with SP-215 Speckled Tuxedo.
  14. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner and a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, fill in the walls with 3 coats of SP-204 Speckled Salsa.
  15. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SP-215 Speckled Tuxedo to the background of the planter.
  16. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
