Somebunny's Feet

This cute bunny is sporting your lovebunny's feet! A cute combination with plenty of options for personalizing. This could very easily also be used to commemorate a birth and display in a nursery. The other selling point on this project is, the feet can be various sizes: the prints on this platter are of a three-year-old. So, it isn't just for babies!

Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a No. 2 pencil, trace the bunny pattern onto the platter.
  3. Using a cotton ball, paint 1 coat of SC-70 Pink-A-Dot on the outer 1/3 of the sky (Note: The rim stays white).
  4. Again, using a cotton ball, paint the whole sky SC-24 Dandelion.
  5. Sponge 2 coats of SC-9 Jaded on as grass. The grass and the horizon meet.
  6. Paint 1 coat of SC-70 Pink-A-Dot over the nose.
  7. Paint 1 coat of SC-31 The Blues over the eyeballs.
  8. Paint 1 coat of SC-15 Tuxedo onto the pupils.
  9. Add a dot of SC-16 Cotton Tail on the pupils.
  10. Apply 2 coats of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel on the carrot.
  11. Apply 1 coat of SC-52 Toad-ily Green on the carrot greens.
  12. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, outline the bunny using SC-35 Gray Hare.
  13. Using a No. 2 pencil, sketch a bow on to the top of the platter like the one in our sample. Apply 3 coats of SC-9 Jaded on the bow.
  14. Sponge 2 coats of SC-9 Jaded carefully onto the lip of the rim.
  15. Outline the bow with SC-35 Gray Hare.
  16. Using CB-604  #4 Soft Fan, paint the child's right foot with SC-14 Java Bean and apply a print to the right side of the bunny positioned with the toes slightly out. Repeat this step with the left foot.
  17. Apply clear glaze of choice (optional).
  18. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
