Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Seahorse: Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-33 Fruit of the Vine to the back of the seahorse. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 coat of SG-401 Black Designer Liner to the ridges of the seahorse.
  4. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-208 Crystal Coral to the head of the seahorse, being sure to recede your coats as you move down to the stomach. Be sure to not over brush the glaze because this will smear the Designer Liner.
  5. Next, do the same on the tail with FN-216 Sea Glass. Again, be sure to recede your coats as you move to the belly.
  6. With some thinned FN-33 Fruit of the Vine creating a wash, fill in the rest of the belly with about 2 coats of the wash.
  7. With a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of FN-216 Sea Glass to the eye make sure to create a pupil with the SG-401 Black Designer Liner.
  8. Apply 1 coat of S-2102 Crystal Clear Brushing to the center section over the SC-33 Fruit of the Vine. Allow to dry.
  9. Seashell: Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-216 Sea Glass to the back of the seashell. Allow to dry.
  10. Apply, 3 coats of FN-208 Crystal Coral to the bottom half of the front of the shell and blend it into a thinned FN-33 Fruit of the Vine up towards the top.
  11. Apply 1 coat of S-2101 near the top over the Fruit of the Vine. Allow to dry.
  12. Starfish: Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral to the back of the starfish and 1 coat to the front.
  13. Using a sponge antique the front of the starfish by wiping away the excess glaze.
  14. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-208 Crystal Coral to inside of the star dish. Allow to dry.
  15. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
