Instructions

1. Dampen a blue shop towel, squeeze out excess water and lay flat. Squeeze the following colors in squiggle lines onto the towel: SS-135 White, SS-331 Medium Blue and SS-335 Rich Blue.  Fold the towel in half, open then fold in the oppisite direction. Make sure the towel is covered with the acrylic colors.

2.  Place the towel on one of the sides of the tiessue box. Press gently to transfer the color onto the box then remove the towel. When removing the towel, the color will follow the direction that you are pulling. Different effects can be achieved by the direction of the pull.  Repeat to change the look if desired. Repeat for all the sides, let dry.

3.  Thicken SS-138 Flat Black with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium, using a palette knife, to a peanut butter consistency. We used the sailboat, anchor, submarine and helm for hte primary designs. The rope was used as a border on the top.  To screen the images place the screen (shiny side down) onto the box and rub the mixture over the screen. Before removing the screen, lift up a corner to ensure that you transfered a good image. If part of the image is missing, rub again with more pressure.

4.  Do not let the acrylic dry in the screen. Wash or place in water immediately.

6.  Brush various acrylic colors over the screened areas to color. Let dry.

7.  Place the screen back over the previous screened area, matching up all sections of the image, rub the thickened black over the screen to re-detail.
