Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-009 Black to the entire piece. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a Water Based Marker, sketch on eyes, nose openings and mouth.
  4. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-78 Lime Light to the face area, then add a small amount of SC-11 Blue Yonder to add highlights.
  5. Using a CB-106 #10/0 Liner, add a spiral in one eye with SC-76 Cara-bein Blue, and then SC-16 Cotton Tail.
  6. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, add a “X” in the other eye with SC-74 Hot Tamale. Fill in the area around the eye with SC-16 Cotton Tail, leaving a small amount of FN-009 Black Foundation showing as an outline.
  7. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner apply 2 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the nose opening, again leaving a small band of FN-009 Black Foundation showing around the openings.
  8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of C-16 Cotton Tail to the mouth opening, leaving a small band of FN-009 Black Foundation showing as an outline.
  9. Using a CB-110 #10 Liner, add stitching to the mouth, eyed and add outlining if needed with SC-15 Tuxedo.
  10. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner and a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the “arms” of the splash bowl and the back of the bowl, going about 2/3 of the way down, leaving FN-009 Black Foundation showing at the very bottom.
  11. Reload in SC-75 Orange-A-Peel and blend into the SC-74 Hot Tamale. Allow to dry.
  12. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
