Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
BOY
- Using a pencil, sketch a neckline on 1 of the MB-B06 Large Barrel Beads for the boys shirt.
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-20 Cashew Later to (1) MB-B03 Large Round, (1) MB-B08 Small Tubular Wide, (3) MB-B09 Small Tubular Narrow and (6) MB-B05 Medium Barrel for all the flesh and hair areas.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SP-206 Speckled Sunkissed to (4) MB- B05 Medium Barrel and (2) MB-B06 Large Barrel for the shirt. (Refer to photo.)
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-58 501 Blues to (6) MB-B05 Medium Barrel and the bottom half of one of the MB-B06 Large Barrel for the pants.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to (2) MB-B04 Small Barrel for the shoes.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply SC-75 Orange-A-Peel to the trim of the shirt and stitching on the pants.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-5 Tiger Tail to one of the MB-B09 Small Tubular Narrow and one of the MB-B03 Large Round for the hair. Allow to dry. Load the brush with SC-5 Tiger Tail and side load with SC-14 Java Bean and streak in the hair.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply the eyes, nose, mouth, belt, pockets, and any other details with SC-15 Tuxedo.
GIRL
- Using a pencil, sketch a neckline on 1 of the MB-B06 Large Barrel Beads, for the girls dress.
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-20 Cashew Later to (1) MB-B03 Large Round, (1) MB-B08 Small Tubular Wide, (5) MB-B09 Small Tubular Narrow and (6) MB-B05 Medium Barrel for all the flesh & hair areas.
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel to the body of the dress, sleeves and socks.
- Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to (22) MB-B09 Small Tubular Narrow for the skirt.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to the socks, dress sleeves, collar of the dress and buttons.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to (2) MB-B04 Small Barrel for the shoes.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-24 Dandelion to 3 of the MB-B09 Small Tubular Narrow and 1 of the MB-B03 Large Round for the hair. Allow to dry. Load the brush with SC-24 Dandelion and side load with SC-48 Brown Cow and streak in the hair.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply the eyes, nose, mouth with SC-15 Tuxedo.
- Using a Glaze Saw, clean all the holes in the beads to remove any color and to make sue they fit the Bead Rack Stilt.
- Do Not Clear Glaze.
- Fire to shelf cone 06.
- Use 16 gauge wire to string the beads, making loops on the end of the wire with the Needle Nose Pliers.
- Use the MB-B100 Leather Cord to hang the Bead Kids.
