Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-009 Black into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the teapot and roll around to completely coat the interior of the teapot.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep teapot inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge.  Repeat for the lid. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a CB-604 # 4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-001 White to the body of the teapot and the lid, keeping off the knob, handle and spout.
  4. Using a CB-604 # 4 Soft Fan, apply a thinned coat of SC-31 The Blues from the top of the teapot about 1/3 of the way, then change to SC-30 The Blues continuing to the bottom of the teapot, allowing them to overlap where they meet.
  5. Using a CB-106 # 6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of FN-009 Black to the knob, handle and spout.
  6. Load the AC-213 Sponge on a Stick with SC-15 Tuxedo, and apply to the ST-103 Retro Star Stamp, and apply to the upper area on the teapot lid and into the body of the teapot.
  7. Load the AC-213 Sponge on a Stick with SC-15 Tuxedo, and apply to the ST-337 Funky Trees Stamp, and apply to the lower section of the teapot.
  8. Using a CB-106 # 6 Script Liner, apply a thin wash of the following colors to the different trees as desired: SC-26 Green Thumb, SC-27 Sour Apple, SC-78 Lime Light and SC-70 Pink-A-Dot.
  9. Using the CB-110 # 10/0 Liner, apply a thin wash of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the birds in-between the trees.
  10. Using a CB-106 # 6 Script Liner, apply a thinned coat of SC-26 Green Thumb to the grass area. Allow to dry.
  11. Stilt and fire to Shelf Cone 06.
