It’s no secret that Mayco’s Creative Tools are some of the most versatile decorating tools you can use in your studio. How many design tools can you use with multiple mediums (low fire glaze, stoneware glaze, acrylics, wax resist, Sculpting Medium) on multiple surfaces (bisque, clay, wood, canvas, glass)?
Our newest batch of Designer Stamps, Mats and Silkscreens doesn’t disappoint! This release includes designs that are being seen as decorating and design trends as well as designs you have requested!
This month, we’re featuring two of our new Silkscreens - Island (DSS-0147) and Day of the Dead (DSS-0152). The super cold temperatures we’ve seen this year have us wishing for an island vacation. Use the large pineapple from our Island collection, add stamped or free-handed leaves to create a dinnnerware set that is sure to inspire warm thoughts! Add extra elements such as hibiscus flowers on the salad plate and keep the dinner plate design more simple. Add a little whimsy to the set by screening a hula girl onto a cup or mug. Aloha, fun!
Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) designs have become popular year-round. In addition to the flowers, sugar skulls and catrinas from our new Silkscreen, we used stamps, paper masking, and brushwork to create unique plates, mugs and a wedding plate. Have fun playing with different color combinations!
