Instructions

  1. Using the CB-604 #4 Soft Fan brush, apply MM-106 Steel Metallic to the pattern sheet on the opposite side of the pattern. When Dry, apply a heavy coat of MM-305 Rapid Rust over the MM-106 Steel Metallic and set aside.
  2. Using the CB-604 #4 Soft Fan brush, apply SS-335 Rich Blue and SS-317 Turquoise, alternating sections and blending together while wet.
  3. Using the AC-213 Sponge-on-a-Stick load the sponge with MM-103 Deep Bronze Metallic then blot off excess glaze.  Using a light up and down pouncing motion apply the glaze to the ST-127 Crackle Stamp then gently press down the “inked” up stamp onto the bisque.  Allow to dry.
  4. With scissors, cut out heart, circles and lock shape from the rusted paper. Using the CB-604 #4 Soft Fan brush, apply a coat of Mod Podge Matte to the backs of the rusted shapes and adhere to the painted wood canvas.
  5. Load a section of the Synthetic Sponge with MM--103 Deep Bronze Metallic then blot off excess glaze. Using a light up and down pouncing motion apply the paint to the edges of the piece.
  6. Load a section of the Synthetic Sponge with a small amount of SS-135 White then blot off excess glaze. Use the loaded sponge to create highlights around the heart by wiping the sponge onto the piece.
  7. Using the CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner brush, apply SS-135 White around the rusty parts of the piece to create more intense highlights.
  8. Using the same brush, apply SS-138 Flat Black around the rusty parts of the piece to create shadows.
