Instructions

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Lay the Bloom Stencil on the canvas in the upper corner with the center of the flower an inch away from the corner. With a pencil, trace around the outside edge of the last row of petals.
3. Mark a pencil line on the tile of the stencil positioning, so later you can reposition the stencil. Remove Stencil and set aside.
4. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, brush 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the penciled area, go slightly past the pencil line. Allow glaze to dry between coats.
5. Re-wet the glazed area with glaze or water. Realign the Stencil on the tile and adhere to the marked area.  Make sure to get rid of gaps from the stencil to the glaze, rub a small amount of glaze into the gaps with a brush or just your finger.
6. Scoop SG-501 Sculpting Medium onto a plate. Use a squeegee to apply Sculpting Medium to the stencil. Scrape the stencil with the squeegee to remove excess Sculpting Medium off the tile. A straight edge, such as a ruler, also works well.
7. Working fast to avoid Sculpting Medium from drying, using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, brush on one coat of SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral to the center of the flower and SC-75 Orange a Peel to the outter edge petals, blending colors together over the Sculpting Medium. This must be done quickly as the Sculpting Medium dries quite fast. Once the color is applied, remove the Bloom Stencil by lifting it straight up off the tile. 
8. Clean and dry the stencil. Lay it down on the blank areas of the tile, use a foam roller to roll over the stencil with SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral, gently, and in different directions to avoid bleeding the color. 
9. Trace or draw on the word BLOOM at the bottom of the tile. Use SG-401 Designer Liner to letter. (If tracing, use AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper to transfer the design.) Allow to dry.
10. Use the CB-110 Liner to further shade the flower using SC-74 Hot Tamale, SC-89 Cutie Pie Coral, and SC-75 Orange a Peel.  
11. Mix SC-15 Tuxedo with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium on a palette, using a palette knife, to the consistency of peanut butter.
12. Use the lady bug and the ants images from DSS-0113 Bug on the tile.
13. Using CB-110 #10/0 Fine Liner, fill in the lady bug with a puddle coat of SC-74 Hot Tamale. 
14. Allow to fully dry.
15. Brush on two coats of S-2101 Clear to the tile, omitting the Sculpting Medium flower.
16. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
