Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a RB-144 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of C-300 Matte Transparent to the canvas. Allow to dry.
  3. With a Pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on sketch of flowers.
  4. Squeeze the Stroke & Coat colors onto a palette.
  5. Using a AB-834 ¾" Basecoat Brush, brush in the background colors, (refer to photo).  SC-88 Tu Tu Tango, SC-24 Dandelion, SC-6 Sunkissed, SC-94 Curry Around, use a crosshatch stroke to brush one color into another. Swipe in some SC-27 Sour Apple in the stem areas, SC-39 Army Surplus and SC-34 Down to Earth at the bottom, keep it messy, along with some SC-94 Curry Around.
  6. Load a CB-106 #6 Script Liner to stroke in the petals, first with SC-24 Dandelion then over with SC-88 Tu Tu Tango tipped with SC-73 Candy Apple Red.  Centers are SC-24 Dandelion, with some SC-27 Sour Apple and SC-94 Curry Around swiped in.
  7. Dot around ¾ths of the centers with SC-34 Down to Earth.
  8. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, stroke in the stems with SC36 Irish Luck.
  9. Use the SG-401 Designer Liner to loosely outline petals, stems and some of the strokes in the foreground.
  10. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, spatter with the slightly thinned SC-88 Tu Tu Tango and SC-39 Army Surplus. Allow to dry.
  11. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
