Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the design. With ¼" masking tape, apply tape to the wire.
  3. Condition a CB-110 #10/0 Liner and a CB-106 #6 Script Liner by: dampening the brush in water and squeeze out any excess water. Load the brush with AC-525 Brush Cleaner then squeeze between a paper towel.
  4. Apply a good coat of AC-302 Wax Resist only to the design. Allow to dry. Clean brush when done applying the AC-302 Wax Resist.
  5. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 even coats of CC-107 Green Tea to the lower area of the canvas and 3 coats of CC-108 China Sea to the upper area of the canvas.  Allow to dry.
  6. Clean off any glaze droplets of glaze on the Wax Resist areas.
  7. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 005/06.
  8. To antique the cracks in the glaze, apply SS-138 to the canvas an area at a time then wipe off with a paper towel. The SS-138 Flat Black should also go on the design.
  9. Do Not Fire!
