Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Slightly thin SC-15 Tuxedo with water (3:1). Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 thinned coat of SC-15 Tuxedo to the poinsettias and pine needles on 4226 Snowmen Accent. Also apply 1 thinned coat of SC-15 Tuxedo to 4205 Welcome Greeter bisque.
- Using BT-910 Synthetic Sponge, lightly wipe away the thinned SC-15 Tuxedo leaving an antiqued effect.
- Slightly thin SC-8 Just Froggy with water (3:1). Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 thinned coat of SC-8 Just Froggy to the hat and scarf of the snowman to the right, avoiding the puff of the hat.
- Slightly thin SC-76 Carabein Blue with water (3:1). Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 thinned coat of SC-76 Carabein Blue to the hat and scarf of the snowman in the middle, avoiding the puff of the hat.
- Slightly thin SC-29 Bluegrass with water (3:1). Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 thinned coat of SC-29 Bluegrass to the hat and scarf of the snowman to the left, avoiding the puff of the hat.
- Using BT-910 Synthetic Sponge, lightly wipe away the hats and scarfs of all three snowman, being sure to clean the BT-910 Synthetic Sponge in between colors, to leave an antiqued effect.
- Slightly thin SC-11 Blue Yonder with water (3:1). Using CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, draw the line to the outer edges of the snowmen's faces with the thinned SC-11 Blue Yonder.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-8 Just Froggy to the pine needles on 4026 Snowmen Accent bisque. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats. On the second coat, be sure to avoid the crevices.
- Using CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-6 Sunkissed to the center of each of the poinsettias.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the petals of each of the poinsettias. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats. On the second coat, be sure to avoid the crevices.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-78 Limelight to the hat and scarf of the snowman to the right, avoiding the puff of the hat. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-9 Jaded to the hat and scarf of the snowman to the left, avoiding the puff of the hat. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-45 My Blue Heaven to the snowman in the center, avoiding the puff of the hat. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Tip: If desired, alternate the stripes of the hat on the snowman in the center with SC-45 My Blue Heaven and SC-76 Carabein Blue.
- Using CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, outline the eyes and mouths of all three snowmen using SC-15 Tuxedo.
- Using CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel to the carrots for the noses. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using SC-211 Sponge on a Stick, pounce 1 coat of SC-1 Pink-A-Boo to the cheeks of each of the snowmen.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-45 My Blue Heaven to 4205 Welcome Greeter bisque. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-76 Cara-being Blue to fill in the letters. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to both, 4205 Welcome Greeter and 4026 Snowmen Accent bisque pieces.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 heavy coats of SG-302 Snowfall to the puff on each of the hats.
- Tip: We added more SG-302 Snowfall to the top edge of the 4205 Welcome Greeter bisque as well as on the hats and scarf of the snowmen.
- Stilt each bisque piece and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
