Instructions
MB-1393 Fox Box:
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-32 Canton Jade to the underside of the lid and the interior and exterior of the bottom of the box.
- Using RB-104 #4 Liner and CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-82 Tuscan Red to glaze the tail, top of the head, and body of the fox.
- Using RB-104 #4 Liner and CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-86 Old Lace to the tip of the tail, the face of the fox, chest fur, and feet of the fox.
- Using RB-104 #4 Liner and CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner, apply a loaded brush of SC-2 Melon-Choly to the inside of the ears and nose.
- Use CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner for the eyes. You will be adding dots of the colors. Only apply the next color when the bottom color is dry. Apply a dot of SC-45 My Blue Heaven. Next apply a dot of SC-15 Tuxedo. Then, apply three very small dots of SC-86 Old Lace for the reflections.
- Use CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner and SC-15 Tuxedo to outline the detail lines of the piece.
- Use CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner and SC-15 Tuxedo to add 3 dots on the fox's muzzle.
- Once dry, using RB-104 #4 Liner, apply SG-302 Snowfall to the top of the head and tail. You may choose to add a few drops to the top of the nose and face.
- Stilt both lid and bottom of box and fire to shelf cone 06.
MB-1394 Squirrel Box:
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-32 Canton Jade to the underside of the lid and the interior and exterior of the bottom of the box.
- Using RB-104 #4 Liner and CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-60 Silver Lining to the top of the tail and back of the squirrel.
- Using RB-104 #4 Liner and CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-54 Vanilla Dip to the bottom of the tail, belly, and face of the squirrel.
- Using RB-104 #4 Liner and CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the cheeks of the squirrel.
- Use a fully loaded CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner brush to fill in the ear using SC-2 Melon-Choly.
- Use CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner to glaze the eyes. You will be adding dots of the following colors, be sure previous colors are dry. Apply a dot of SC-11 Blue Yonder. Next apply SC-15 Tuxedo. Finally, apply 3 small dots of SC-16 Cotton Tail.
- Use CB-220 #2/0 Detail Liner and SC-15 Tuxedo to outline the detail lines of the piece.
- Once dry, using RB-104 #4 Liner, apply SG-302 Snowfall to the top of the tail, hands, top of the head, and shoulder of the squirrel.
- Stilt both lid and bottom of box and fire to shelf cone 06.
