1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Place some FN-004 Red into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water). It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the vase and roll around to completely coat the interior of the vase. Drain out the excess glaze and keep vase inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-001 White to the outside of the vase. Allow to dry.
4. Trace on the design using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper.
5. Using the AC-001 Red Stroke & Coat Accents, outline the entire design.
6. Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 1 coat of SC-78 Lime Light to the leaves, then 1 coat of CG-717 Pistachio, then 1 coat of SC-78 Lime Light.
7. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-27 Sour Apple to the stems.
8. For the hearts, apply 1 coat of SC-74 Hot Tamale with a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round.
9. To some of the hearts, using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, apply 1 coat of CG-968 Peppermint Twist.
10. Apply 1 coat of SC-74 Hot Tamale over the CG-968 Peppermint Twist using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round.
11. To the remaining hearts, apply 2 coats of SP-274 Speckled Hot Tamale with a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round.
12. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-26 Green Thumb to the spirals in the background.
13. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
