Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Thin FN-225 Watermelon with water (3:1). Pour inside MB-123 Pottery Mug to coat interior and then pour out excess. Use a damp BT-910 Synthetic Sponge to wipe away any drips.
- Along the top of MB-123 Pottery Mug, draw two parallel lines for word placement.
- Mix S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing with food coloring to tint. Using a palette knife, mix tinted S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium to thicken to the consistency of peanut butter.
- Align the ladybug from DSS-0113 Bugs onto MB-123 Pottery Mug. Rub the thickened S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing mixture over the ladybug image with your finger. Rinse screen and lay flat to dry. Screen an additional ladybug with the thickened S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing so the two bugs are "holding hands". Rinse screen and lay flat to dry. This step is used for color placement.
- Note: Review the Silkscreen Instructions for further information and how to clean.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the backs of each of the ladybugs. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- With a palette knife, mix SC-15 Tuxedo with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium to thicken to the consistency of peanut butter.
- Realign the ladybug screen over the previously painted ladybug. Rub the thickened SC-15 Tuxedo mixture to screen the ladybug. Rinse screen and lay flat to dry. Screen an additional ladybug using the thickened SC-15 Tuxedo mixture. Rinse screen and lay flat to dry.
- Write the words "You're My Love Bug" with a pencil along the previously drawn guidelines.
- Using CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, trace the words with SC-15 Tuxedo.
- Using SG-403 Red, apply small dots along the penciled guidelines.
- Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the handle of MB-123 Pottery Mug. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to the exterior of MB-123 Pottery Mug. Allow glaze to dry completely between coats.
- Stilt and fire to cone 06/05.
