Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Thin S-2101 Clear with water (3:1) to roll to the inside. Pour out excess and drain, wiping away any exces with a BT-910 Synthetic Sponge.
  3. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-6 Sunkissed in the neck of the vase.
  4. Using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace or pencil on the pattern.
  5. Brush 3 coats of SC-6 Sunkissed to the three yellow circles.
  6. Punch out 3, 1/2" circles from copy paper. Wet with water and stick to yellow glaze. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, brush 2 coats of CG-756 Fire Cracker to the largest center, make sure to use lots of crystals. Pull off the paper dots.
  7. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, brush a ring of SC-6 Sunkissed around the Firecracker center.
  8. When dry, stroke and dot with SG-403 Red over the Sunkissed.
  9. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of CG-968 Peppermint Twist to the next largest flower's center. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, brush a ring around the center with SC-74 Hot Tamale.
  10. When dry, detail the Hot Tamale ring with SG-402 White with SG-403 Red dots.
  11. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of CG-954 Wildfire to the top flower's center. Make loops around the center with SG-408 Orange, use SG-407 Yellow to color the center of the loops.
  12. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of CG-753 Sassy Orange to the center of the flower next to the bottom flower. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, brush a ring around the venter withSC-74 Hot Tamale. When dry, draw loops with SG-407 over the Hot Tamale.
  13. Using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of CG-756 Firecracker to the final flower's center. Using CB-106 #6 Script Liner, brush a ring around the center with SC-23 Jack O' Lantern. When dry, use SG-407 Yellow and draw lines as detail over the orange glaze.
  14. Use SC-26 Green Thumb and SC-78 Limelight for the leaves and stems. Load CB-106 #6 Script Liner with SC-78 Limelight, tip the brush in SC-26 Green Thumb, press to the base of the leaf, pull brush to the tip. Apply 2 coats.
  15. using CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, draw the stems using SC-26 Green Thumb.
  16. Outline and vein leaves and stems with SG-405 Green.
  17. Using AC-213 Large Sponge On a stick, pounce ST-339 Star Swirls with SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to fill in the background with a random pattern.
  18. When dry, using CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply S-2101 Crystal Clear to the exterior.
  19. Stilt and fire to cone 06.
