Instructions

Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.

Red and Orange Leaves Canoe:

  1. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern or you can sketch it on.
  2. Outline and vein the leaves with SG-406 Brown Designer Liner.
  3. Fill in the leaves with SG-403 Red Designer Liner leave some space to fill in with SG-408 Orange Designer Liner.
  4. Leave all of the smaller leaves without the red and orange.
  5. Use SG-405 Green Designer Liner to accent the brown outline, stem and some veins.
  6. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 of SC-34 Down to Earth on the back of the canoe.  Allow to dry.

Orange and Yellow Grapes Canoe:

  1. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern or you can sketch it on.
  2. Outline the stem, leaves, grapes, and vein in leaves with SG-404 Blue Designer Liner.
  3. Fill in the stems, and leaves with SG-405 Green Designer Liner, leave space on the leaves and fill in with SG-407 Yellow Designer Liner.
  4. Fill in the grapes with SG-408 Orange Designer Liner, leave a small space on each grape for a SG-407 Yellow Designer Liner highlight.
  5. Small leaves are SG-407 Yellow Designer Liner with a SG-408 Orange Designer Liner highlight.
  6. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-76 Cara-bein Blue to the back of the canoe.  Allow to dry.

Yellow Orange Flower:

  1. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern or you can sketch it on.
  2. Outline the design with SG-403 Red Designer Liner.
  3. Fill in the petals of the flower with SG-407 Yellow Designer Liner and SC-408 Orange Designer Liner.
  4. All the leaves are looped with SG-403 Red Designer Liner, and scribbled with SG-405 Green Designer Liner and SG-407 Yellow Designer Liner.
  5. Dot the edge and handles with SG-403 Red Designer Liner.
  6. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the back of the canoe.  Allow  to dry.

Finishing:

  1. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to the top side of the canoes or dip in Clear Glaze of your choice.  Allow to dry.
  2. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
