Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-009 Black into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the vase and roll around to completely coat the interior of the vase.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep the vase inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry
  3. Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 2 to 3 coats of FN-009 Black to the handle.
  4. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon, trace on the flowers as desired.
  5. Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 1 coat of SC-6 Sunkissed to the flower petals.
  6. Reload the CB-406 #6 Pointed Round in SC-6 Sunkissed and tip in SC-75 Orange-A-Peel and apply a 2nd coat to the flower petals.
  7. Using a CB-406 #4 Pointed Round, apply 2 coats of SC-78 Lime Light to the leaves and flower centers.
  8. Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, side load in SC-63 Popeye’s Favorite and shade the leaves and flower centers.
  9. Using a CB-110 # 10/0Liner, outline and detail the flowers and leaves with SC-15 Tuxedo.
  10. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing to the outside of the pitcher, excluding the inside and handle.  Allow to dry.
  11. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
