Instructions

  1. Remove dust from 04 bisque with a damp sponge.
  2. Thin S-2101 Clear slightly with water, pour to the inside of the teapot and lids, turn to coat, pour out excess glaze, drain upside down.
  3. With CB-604 Soft Fan, brush on FN-018 Bright Blue to the body of the teapot, inside the cup, knobs of the sugar, and teapot, underskirt of the container, and sugar, three coats.
  4. With the CB-604 Soft Fan, brush three coats of FN-044 Yellow Orange to the outside body of the cup, and lid to the teapot.
  5. Brush the body of the container with three coats of FN-054 Pistachio and the knob to the sugar.
  6. Brush three coats of FN-037 Chartreuse to the inside neck, inside neck of teapot spout, and underskirt, with CB-604 Soft Fan.
  7. Brush FN-003 Orange to the inside neck of the container, and underskirt of the teacup, three coats.
  8. When dry trace on the sunflower pattern to the inside of the cup and the front and back of the teapot.  
  9. Brush on one heavy coat of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the sunflower and the leaves and stem.  This will block out the Bright Blue, to let the yellows show brighter.
  10. Use CB-106 Script Liner to stroke in SC-6 Sunkissed to the petals on the right, 3-4 petals, continue to load the liner with Sunkissed, but tip the brush with SC-97 Cant-elope to stoke in the next 4-5 petals, stroke in a few with just Cant-elope. Add SC-24 Dandelion to the brush to vary the color of the petals. Apply 2 coats.
  11. Load the liner with one of the yellows, tip the brush with SC-81 Cinnamon Stix, stroke to the petals to deepen the color next to the center.
  12. Brush SC-26 Green Thumb to the middle of the sunflower's centers, fade the color to SC-14 Java Bean, add splotches of SC-97 Cant-elope to the center. 2 coats.
  13. Brush the leaves and stem with two coats of SC-27 Sour Apple, add steaks of SC-26 Green Thumb and SC-97 Cant elope.
  14. Outline all the petals, leaves and heavier around the center with SC-15 Tuxedo, use CB-110 Liner.  Dot the center with Tuxedo and add small dots with the brush tip to the center for the seeds.
  15. Fire to cone 06/05.
