Instructions

 
1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.

2. Using AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, transfer the image of the pig onto the dinner plate and the image of the cow onto the serving bowl.

For the Cow:

3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, load the brush with some clean water and mix it with some SC-6 Sunkissed. Brush this onto the background.

4. Using an AC-213 Sponge on a Stick, dip the sponge into SC-27 Sour Apple and dab the excess off on a clean surface. Place the MT-005 Retro Squares flat on a table and apply the glaze to the mat. Apply the stamp in random sections so you don't have a full transfer, but there is just hints of the stamp throughout the background. Avoid the area that you traced the cow head.

5. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, thin SC-12 Moody Blue, SC-27 Sour Apple, and SC-75 Orange-A-Peel. Apply each color where it is marked on the pattern. Apply one full brush stroke at a time; it is fine if they overlap.

6. Once the "watercolors" are dry, apply an outline using SG-401 Designer Liner.

7. Once the piece is completley dry, use a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan to apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing Glaze to the inside of the bowl.

8. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 4 coats of FN-004 Red to the back of the bowl and wrap about 1/4" around the rim.

For the Pig:

9. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, load the brush with some clean water and mix it with some SC-27 Sour Apple. Brush this onto the background. 

10. Using an AC-213 Sponge on a Stick, dip the sponge into SC-12 Moody Blue and dab the excess off on a clean surface. Place the MT-002 Wood Grain flat on a table and apply the glaze to the mat. Apply the stamp in random sections so you don't have a full transfer, but there is just hints of the stamp throughout the background. Avoid the area that you traced the pigs head. Keep the grain going in the same direction to make it look more cohesive.

11.  Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, thin SC-6 Sunkissed, SC-33 Fruit of the Vine, and SC-75 Orange-A-Peel. Apply each color where it is marked on the pattern. Apply one full brush stroke at a time; it is fine if they overlap.

12. Once the "watercolors" are dry, apply an outline using SG-401 Designer Liner.

13. Once the piece is completley dry, use a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan to apply 2 coats of S-2101 Crysta Clear Brushing Glaze to the face of the plate.

14. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-003 Orange to the back of the plate and wrap about 1/4" around the rim.

For the other dishes:

15. Mix and match the foundation colors on the Charger, Salad Plate, and Cereal Bowl. I applied Different colors to the front and back of each piece and a stamp to the salad plate. (see previous steps to refresh how to apply a matte.

16. Let dry completley.

17. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
