Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern. Also sketch triangles below the outer top rim of the casserole about a half-inch wide.
  3. Outline the pattern with SG-401 Designer Liner. Allow to dry.
  4. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply a thinned coat of the following colors to the areas indicated: SC-11 Blue Yonder to the area behind the dragon; SC-27 Sour Apple to the body of the dragon; SC-16 Cotton Tail to the eyes and teeth; SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the spines on the back, tail, side and top of head and the area around the word YUM. The Triangles around the outer rim are SC-27 Sour Apple on the top row and SC-88 Tu Tu Tango on the bottom row. Allow to dry.
  5. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SW-001 Stoneware Clear to all the areas of the pattern.
  6. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of SW-123 Sapphire to the background of the casserole. Do not glaze the bottom of the piece.
  7. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SW-120 Northern Woods over the SW-123 Sapphire. Allow to dry.
  8. Fire to shelf cone 5/6. Remember that Stoneware must be dry footed since it cannot be stilted.
