Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-046 Sage to the tray. Allow to dry.
  3. Spray the back of a flower Stencil with Stencil Adhesive.  You will also have to cut the stencil in order for it to lay flat.
  4. Stick the stencil in place; make sure that you remove any gaps between the stencil and the tray.
  5. Apply the SG-501 Sculpture Medium to the stencil with a rubber squeegee.  Remove the stencil as soon it begins to set about 10 seconds.  Optional: You can trace the stencil with a pencil and then use a CB-106 #6 Script Liner to fill in the flower petals with 2 coats.
  6. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner and a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SG-501 Sculpture Medium to the two stems and flower bud.
  7. When the SG-501 Sculpting Medium has lost its shine, using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-94 Curry Around to the flower petals, thin SC-32 Bluebeard for the center. Shade the flower Petals with SC-88 Tu Tu Tango.
  8. Apply one coat of Designer Liner to the stems and flower heads with a brush , one coat.
  9. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply SG-401 Designer Liner to outline, vein, and detail the flower.
  10. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, thin SC-32 Bluebeard and use to shadow the right side of the flower and between the stems.
  11. Thin SG-401 Designer Liner to use to shade the edges of the tray. Allow to dry.
  12. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
