Instructions

 

 

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a pencil, lightly sketch the stripes on the plane. Refer to the photo for design.
  3. Make a 1:1 mix of SC-39 Army Surplus and SC-79 It's Sage. Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of the mix to every other stripe starting in the front of the plane.
  4. Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-84 Dee John to the other stripes on the plane.
  5. Using a CB-406 #6 Pointed Round, apply 3 coats of SC-60 Silver Lining on the bottom of the plane.
  6. Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the center of the tires and the lower half of the mouth.
  7. Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats SC-16 Cotton Tail to the teeth, eyes, and window. Shade the window with SC-9 Jaded.
  8. Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the tires and 1 coat to the upper mouth. Outline the mouth, window and add the eye. Allow to dry.
  9. Apply clear glaze of choice.
  10. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
