Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2-3 coats of FN-001 White to the top area of the Bird Feeder/Bath. Allow to dry.
- Sketch a line about ¾” down from the inside edge of the bowl.
- Punch out about 19 1” Paper Dots.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-12 Moody Blue to the 1” Dot and place in bowl touching each other, just below the traced line. Refer to photo.
- Punch out about 18 ¾” Paper Dots.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-12 Moody Blue to the ¾” Dot and place in bowl leaving space around them. Refer to photo.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, paint circles around each of the ¾” dots with SC-12 Moody Blue.
- Remove all dots and apply 2 coats of SC-12 Moody Blue to the area where each of the dots were applied.
- Punch out about 17 1 ¾” Paper Dots.
- Wet the 1 ¾” Paper Dot and place around the rim of the bowl slightly overlapping not going below the traced line.
- Stamp some areas with the ST-114 Starry Swirls using SC-12 Moody Blue with a AC-213 Sponge on a Stick. Other areas add lines and or circles with a AC-222 Medium Writer Tip or a brush.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply a line of SC-12 Moody Blue around each dot slightly overlapping onto the paper.
- Remove the 1 ¾” dots.
- Using the AC-222 Medium Writer Tip with SC-12 Moody Blue, add lines from the edge of the dot to the line just above the blue dots.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-019 Dark Blue to the back of the bowl and to the base.
- Birds: Apply 3 coats of FN-001 White to the birds.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply a thin coat of SC-30 Blue Dawn to the heads, tails and wings. Shade with SC-12 Moody Blue.
- Using a CB-404 #4 Pointed Round, make feathers to the remainder of the body with a pressure stroke.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply SC-30 Blue Dawn to the iris of the eye.
- Apply SC-15 Tuxedo to the pupil and line the eye lid also the beaks.
- Do Not apply clear Glaze.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06. Note: You can fire the pieces together or glue after firing.
