Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats SW-106 Alabaster to the inside and top outside rim of SB-116 Flared Mug.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats SC-27 Sour Apple over SW-106 Alabaster. Make sure to brush the Stroke & Coat in horizontal bands.
- Using a palette knife, mix UG-50 Jet Black with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium, adding small amounts to get the consistency of peanut butter.
- Using your index finger, rub the mixture, through the screen image onto the mug. Note: The same screen can be used right after screening.
- Allow the image to completely dry.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SW-002 Matte Clear to the outside of the mug. Take care to slightly overlap the Alabaster/Stroke & Coat with the SW-002 Matte Clear.
- With a damp sponge, wipe off any excess glaze off the foot of mug.
- Place on a high-fired kiln washed kiln shelf.
- Do Not Stilt and make sure the mug or the handle of the mug is not hanging over the kiln shelf.
- Fire to shelf cone 5/6.
