Instructions
- Roll clay ¼" thick between ¼" wood slats. Slump clay over the CD-915 8" Slump Hump Plate mold. Press in place using a sand bag and trim off edges with a needle tool.
- Use the triangle shape from CD-1078 Design Press Tools to press in the top edge. Press in point side up then point down continue to fill in the edge.
- Use the CD-1079 Design Wheel Press Tool to press in the next border.
- Press in square design from CD-1078 for the third border and the spiral shape from same mold for the last border.
- Allow the piece to dry thoroughly.
- Bisque fire to shelf cone 04.
- Thin SC-76 Cara-bein Blue, then brush over the border area with a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan. To antique, remove excess with a wet brush or a damp sponge.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-25 Crackerjack Brown into the background of the second and third border.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-15 Tuxedo into the first border. Outline the squares and the spiral stamp with SC-15 Tuxedo.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 1 coat of SC-15 Tuxedo to detail the Design Wheel Tool stamped area.
- Dot the spiral and the triangle design with SC-75 Orange-A-Peel.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of S-2732 Sedona Sky to the center of the plate.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-009 Black to the back of the plate.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of Clear Glaze to the border area. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
