Apply glaze and create design using yarn and string.

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
2. Place some FN-009 Black into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it. It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the planter and roll around to completely coat the interior of the planter. Drain out the excess glaze and keep planter inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
3. Pencil in a large circle on the planter for the flower placement.
4. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale on the large circle area.
5. Spiral the eyelash yarn on the SC-74 Hot Tamale spot, brushing over with the SC-74 Hot Tamale to get the yarn to stay in place. All the yarn needs to be over the red glaze area.
6. Cut the length of cotton crochet yarn to fit the flower in a loose spiral that stays inside of the eyelash yarn hairs. Brush over with SC-74 Hot Tamale.
7. Cut out 3 leaves from paper and trace on the shape to fit around the flower.
8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-26 Green Thumb on the traced on leaves.
9. After the glaze dries to the touch, brush the back of the paper cut out leaves with 1 coat of SC-77 Glo Worm then place it over the painted leaf on the planter. Press the paper after it dries a bit.
10. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-32 Bluebeard on the planter going over the yarn and the paper leaves.
11. Apply a third coat of SC-32 Bluebeard and, while the glaze is still wet, swipe here and there with SC-36 Irish Luck.
12. After the glaze begins to dry pat the flower with paper towel to soak up some color. This will aid in drying.
13. Soak some kite string in a cup with SC-75 Orange-A-Peel. Slap the pot with the string, always keeping some glaze on the string, otherwise color will not transfer.
14. Pull off the yarns as soon as the shine leaves the glaze and remove the paper leaves.
15. Using the AC-213 Sponge on a Stick load the sponge with SC-36 Irish Luck. Tap the SC-36 Irish Luck onto the ST-367 Leafy Border Stamp then stamp the leaves on the planter to get the veins from the individual leaves. Allow to dry.
16. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
