Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the face of the owl. Also, apply 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the wings and chest.
- Using a combination of the CB-604 #4 Soft Fan and a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SP-215 Speckled Tuxedo to the rest of the body and the inside of the bowl. Allow to dry
- With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, transfer the patterns to the chest and wings of the owl.
- Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-16 Cotton Tail to the transferred designs.
- Float some watered down SC-15 Tuxedo around the bottom of the eyes to make them look sunken in.
- Using a CB-202 #2 Detail Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-39 Army Surplus to the iris of the eyes and SC-15 Tuxedo to the pupil.
- Apply 2 coats of SC-84 Dee John to the beak.
- Using a CB-110 #10/0 Mini Liner, outline the eye with SC-15 Tuxedo.
- Allow to dry completely.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
