1. Roll clay ¼" thick between ¼" wood slats. Slump clay over the CD-774 Rectangle slump. Press into shape with a sand bag. Trim off excess with a needle tool, leaving on the flange.
2. Use the spiral press tool from CD-1078 Design Press Tools to make the yellow flowers. Roll a small ball of clay. Press the spiral design into the clay and pull the clay down over the mold, pinching off the excess clay. The size of the clay ball will influence the size of the flower.
3. Press clay onto the skinny leaf from CD-1073 Leaf Design Press Tool. Pinch off all excess clay around the leaf. Slip attach or use clay slurry to attach the flowers and leaves to the flange of the rectangle shape.
4. Use the triangle shape continuous design tool CD-1079 Design Wheel Press Tool to roll on design to remainder of the flange.
5. Make tiny balls of clay then press in spiral design from CD-1075 Small Designs Press Tools into the balls. Attach to the flange edge, between flowers and leaves and over the continuous design.
6. Allow piece to completly dry.
7. Bisque fire piece to shelf cone 04.
8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply to the flowers 2-3 coats of SC-24 Dandelion. When dry, thin SC-25 Crackerjack Brown and wash to the inside of the flowers.
9. Apply 2 coats of SC-36 Irish Luck to the leaves.
10. Apply 1 coat of SC-75 Orange-A-Peel to the small balls of clay.
11. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of S-2714 Herb Garden to the flowers and the leaves and 2 coats to the remainder of the rectangle. Allow to dry.
12. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
