Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Using a RB-140 #8 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-001 White to the front and to the back of the plate. Allow to dry.
- With a pencil lightly sketch out the shape of the tree.
- Using a BT-910 Synthetic Sponge with SC-26 Green Thumb and SC-27 Sour Apple paint the tree. Dip your sponge in the glaze and pull it across the plate in a comma stroke fashion. Using 2 colors will give it a two-tone effect.
- Dip your sponge in SC-45 My Blue Heaven and pull it across the plate around the tree for sky.
- Using a RB-118 #8 Round, apply SC-41 Brown Cow as a the base of the tree. Use long brush strokes pulling towards you. Then dip your brush in SC-14 Java Bean and SC-34 Down To Earth doing long brush strokes on top of the SC-41 Brown Cow to give the tree trunk high and low shading.
- With a pencil lightly draw where the apples will be placed. Use smaller apples for lots of kids, larger apples for fewer kids pictures.
- Using a RB-118 #8 Round, apply 3 coats of FN-001 White where the pictures will be placed.
- Using a RB-118 #8 Round, apply 2-3 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale for the apple.
- Using a RB-118 #8 Round, apply SC-26 Green Thumb and SC-8 Just Froggy to paint one or two leaves on the top of the apples and scatter a few in the tree branches.
- Using a RB-100 #0 Detail Liner, lightly outline the leaves and a center vein with SC-15 Tuxedo. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
- Create and apply the photo images and text to the plate per image transfer instructions.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
