Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern.
  3. Brush in some of the SC-76 Cara-bein Blue to the mountain range, and the foreground.
  4. On a palette, mix SC-16 Cotton Tail with a little of SC-15 Tuxedo for a grey shade. Apply to some of the buildings and roofs.  Use SC-6 Sunkissed to mix with SC-76 Cara- bein Blue for a green shade for the tree line.
  5. Brush the cypress trees with SC-15 Tuxedo, stroke in SC-74 Hot Tamale, as they are burning, and some of the green mix.
  6. Detail the church and houses, blacken all the edges of the mountain range with SC-15 Tuxedo.
  7. Cut out the tree and landscape from the pattern, wet the paper then stick to the painted area of the tile.
  8. Use SG-501 Sculpting Medium and your fingers, plop the medium on the stars, then swirl in a circle till the texture stays rigid.
  9. Create the swirl in the sky by plopping the SG-501 Sculpting Medium in its space and with a couple of fingers, swirl the SG-501 Sculpture Medium to follow the curves, again till rigid.
  10. Continue to texture the entire sky, when you get to the lower sky, spread in the SG-501 Sculpting Medium, then while wet, press in some hamper netting for a different texture, if desired.
  11. Remove the paper before the SG-501 Sculpting Medium starts to dry.
  12. When Dry, apply 1coat of SC-6 Sunkissed to the stars and in the yellow area of the horizon.
  13. Brush the Swirl in the sky with 1 coat of SC-11 Blue Yonder, lightly scrub against the texture with a little water to highlight.
  14. Brush the darker area of the sky with SC-76 Cara-bein Blue, follow the direction of the SG-501 Sculpting Medium with the brush. Use a Liner Brush to accent the sky with small strokes of SC-15 Tuxedo.  Add in some lines of SC-6 Sunkissed.
  15. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
