Instructions

1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.

2. Thicken SC-15 Tuxedo with AC-310 Silkscreen Medium using a palette knife, to the consistency of peanut butter.  Use the Day of the Dead face from DSS-0114 Creepy Silkscreen. Place the shiny side down and rub the thickened mix over the screen. Start the face in the center of the owl's chest near the top. Refer to the photo, for placement of the faces. Take care not to overlap images.

3. Screen the tree branches from DSS-0118 Halloween to the eyes of the owl and the skull face from the zombie girl in the middle of the owls head. Use part of a variety of screens from the Halloween and Creepy silkscreens on the other faceted areas.

4. Stamp about half the facets of the owls body with SC-75 Orange a Peel using the various stamps. Use the foam roller to apply color to the stamps.

5. Re-stamp all the facets and whatever facets that are still blank with SC-15 Tuxedo using the various patterns from the stamps and mat.

6. Stamp the faceted log with the MT-002 Wood Grain Mat.

7. Use the CB-604 #4 Soft fan to apply three coats of FN-201 Golden Clear to the owl's chest, three coats of FN-207 Orange Slice to the head and body, three coats of FN-228 Slate Gray to the tree stump and three coats of FN-222 Indigo to the beak and claws. Use the CB-106 #6 Liner for the smaller sections.

8. Apply FN-201 Golden Clear to the large section of the eyes, two coats of SC-97 Cant-elope to the small section of the eyes and 2 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the pupil.

9. Use the Script Liner or Liner to apply SC-15 Tuxedo to the small facets around the eyes and inside the ears.

10  Fire to cone 05/06.
