Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-001 White into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the teapot and roll around to completely coat the interior of the teapot.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep the teapot inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-27 to the inside and outside of the handle, two sides of the spout, neck, and foot of the teapot. Allow to dry.
  4. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the face of the teapot, spout, handle, and lid (take care to not glaze the knob). Allow to dry.
  5. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 3 coats of SC-33 Fruit of the Vine to the knob, inside spout, and remaining body of the teapot. Allow to dry.
  6. Once the glaze is completely dry. Follow manufacturer’s directions on Stencil Adhesive and cover one side of the stencil. Place on the face of teapot (make sure the stencil is fully adhered to the dried glaze).
  7. Using squeegee, apply a generous coat of SG-501 Sculpting Medium to stencil and face of teapot.
  8. Allow for SG-501 Sculpting Medium to set up and then remove the stencil by lifting it straight up off the face of the teapot. Allow to completely dry
  9. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
