Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-004 Red into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the teapot and roll around to completely coat the interior of the teapot.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep the teapot inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
  3. Pencil in a large circle to the left side of the teapot for the flower placement.
  4. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-74 Hot Tamale to the large circle area
  5. Spiral the eyelash yarn on the SC-74 Hot Tamale spot, brush over with the SC-74 Hot Tamale to get the yarn to stay in place.  All the yarn needs to be over the red glaze area.
  6. Cut out three leaves from paper, trace on the shape to fit around the flower and on the spout.
  7. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of SC-26 Green Thumb to the traced leaves on the teapot.
  8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply heavily some SC-27 Sour Apple to only some sections of the cut out paper leaf then fill in with SC-26 Green Thumb. Allow to dry a bit then press the paper lea shape on the teapot
  9. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-32 Bluebeard on the teapot going over the yarn and the paper leaves.
  10. Apply a third coat of SC-32 Bluebeard and while the glaze is still wet, swipe here and there with SC-36 Irish Luck.
  11. After the glaze begins to dry pat the flower with paper towel to soak up some color, this will aid in drying and remove any excess color.
  12. Pull off the yarns as soon as the shine leaves the glaze and remove the paper leaves.
  13. Using the AC-213 Sponge on a Stick load the sponge with SC-36 Irish Luck. Tap the SC-36 Irish Luck onto the ST-367 Leafy Border Stamp then stamp the leaves on the tile to get the veins from the individual leaves. Allow to dry.
  14. Stilt And Fire to shelf Cone 06/05.
