Instructions
- Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
- Place some S-2101 Crystal Clear brushing into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water). It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the teapot and roll around to completely coat the interior of the teapot. Drain out the excess glaze and keep teapot inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
- With a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the large elements of the design.
- Trace over the design with SG-401 Designer Liner, use a CB-110 #10/0 Liner to paint in the smaller detail on the shapes with the SG-401 Designer Liner For the solid areas, dot some of the SG-401 Designer Liner in the space and then spread the color with a brush.
- Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of FN-226 Squash Blossom to the orange area of the flowers. Glaze over the remainder of the design work with 2 coats of FN-221 Milk Glass.
- Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan and a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2-3 coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to the handle, spout and sides of the body of the teapot. Allow to dry.
- Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
