Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-006 Blue to the inside of the bowl.
  3. Cut out the pattern for the flower.  Cut the center separate from the petals, place the flower in position on the bowl put some water under the pattern then press with paper towel to get it to stick. Place the center in position also.
  4. With a squeegee spread SG-501 Sculpture Medium over the area not masked with paper.  Move the SG-501 Sculpture Medium in random directions, lifting up on the squeegee near the edges so it will be applied thinner.
  5. Remove the paper flower leaving the center. Allow to dry.
  6. Outline the flower and draw in small lines in the petals of the flower with SG-402 White Designer Liner. Check the pattern for reference.  Take the outline over the paper center then remove the paper when finished.
  7. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of S-2101 Crystal Clear Brushing over the SG-402 White Designer Liner on the flower only.
  8. Clean off any of the SG-501 Sculpting Medium that may have gotten on the back.
  9. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply FN-001 White to the back of the bowl. Allow to dry.
  10. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
