Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Measure about a 2” stripe down the center of the Handled Platter. With ¼” Masking Tape. Apply the tape to both outside line of the stripe. Make sure the edges of the tape are secure.
  3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-001 White to the stripe. Allow to dry.
  4. Referring to the photo, apply a strip of masking tape to create two white stripes.
  5. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats double loading the brush when color changes. The stripes will be light to dark blending the colors in the middle of each as follows: FN-007 Green / FN-020 Medium Green; FN-018 Bright Blue / FN-041 Medium Blue; FN-002 Yellow / FN-044 Yellow Orange; FN-003 Orange / FN-004 Red; FN-012 Lavender / FN-036 Grape.
  6. Remove the masking tape before the colors all dry.
  7. When all the colors are dry. Apply a strip of masking tape along the inside edge of the colors and then measure about ½” and apply another strip of masking tape.
  8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of FN-009 Black into this area. Remove the masking tape before the last coat of FN-009 Black dries. Allow to dry.
  9. When the Black is dry, apply a strip of masking tape on top of the black along the outer edge of it.
  10. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-018 Bright Blue to both outer sides of the top of the platter.  Remove the masking tape before the last coat of FN-018 Bright Blue dries.
  11. Using the SG-402 White Designer Liner, apply a wiggle line down the center of the black stripe. Allow to dry.
  12. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 1 coat of S-2101 Crystal Clear over the SG-402 White Designer Liner.
  13. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2-3 coats of FN-009 Black to the back of the platter. Allow to dry.
  14. On the MB-1287 Home Décor Tray use FN-020 Medium Green in the middle.  The MB-1334 Tall Pitcher-Vase use FN-004 Red and FN-009 Black for the inside and the handle. The MB-1081 Retro Latte Cup & Saucer use FN-044 Yellow Orange on the center of the saucer and the bottom half of the cup, inside is FN-009 Black.
  15. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06/05.
