Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-009 Black into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the vase and roll around to completely coat the interior of the vase.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep vase inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
  3. Draw circles for the SC-77 Glo Worm flowers to fit the pattern. Make sure to apply the glaze on past the circle.
  4. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-77 Glo Worm to these areas.
  5. Cut out the needed shapes, make sure to cut a hole out for the center.
  6. Position the cut out flower and attach with water.
  7. Draw circles for the black flowers, overlapping the SC-77 Glo Worm flowrs.
  8. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 Coats of SC-15 Tuxedo to these areas.
  9. Position the black cut out flower and attach with water.
  10. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-004 Red to the pitcher except the handle.
  11. Remove the paper flowers before the glaze dries.
  12. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2-3 coats of FN-009 Black to the handle.
  13. Detail the SC-77 Glo Worm Flower with SA-002 Black Accents and SA-001 Red Accent to the black flowers. Allow to dry.
  14. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06
