Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04/05 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some FN-042 Teal Blue into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it (about 3 parts glaze and 1 part water).  It should be the consistency of a coffee cream.  Pour this into the pitcher and roll around to completely coat the interior of the pitcher.  Drain out the excess glaze and keep pitcher inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-89 Cute Pie Coral to the top ⅔rds of the pitcher, apply SC-88 Tu Tu Tango to the remaining ⅓rd of the pitcher. Allow to dry.
  4. Use stencil adhesive to the back of the peacock stencil.
  5. Press the stencil on the vase, brush the SG-501 Sculpting Medium onto the stencil so that it overfills in the area, use a small rubber squeeze to remove the excess.
  6. After the SG-501 Sculpting Medium starts to set, only takes a few minutes, brush the Stroke & Coat colors over the areas as shown, SC 24 Dandelion, SC-11 Blue Yonder, SC-76 Cara-bein Blue, SC-10 Teal Next Time. One heavy coat is sufficient.
  7. Pull off the stencil.  Lay flat to sponge off, dry, then it may be fine to repeat the process one more time before reapplying the stencil adhesive.
  8. Continue around the pitcher, doing three full stencils and three partial, you may get more it depends on the position of the large full size feather.
  9. Using a CB-602 #2 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-042 Teal Blue to the handle of the pitcher.
  10. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 05/06.
