Instructions


  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Place some S-2101 Crystal Clear Glaze into a small cup and add a little bit of water to slightly dilute it. It should be the consistency of a coffee cream. Pour this into the canister and roll around to completely coat the interior of the canister. Drain out the excess glaze and keep canister inverted until it has lost its shine. Wipe off any glaze from the outside using a damp sponge. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a pencil and AC-230 Clay Carbon Paper, trace on the pattern.
  4. Cut out the stamped area of the birds body from the pattern.
  5. Use the cut out as a stencil to mask the bird.
  6. Using the AC-213 Sponge on a Stick load the sponge with SC-15 Tuxedo. Tap the SC-15 Tuxedo onto the ST-125 Wave Stamp then press the stamp gently onto the area inside the cut out pattern. Allow to dry.
  7. Using SA-002 Black Accent, outline the pattern.
  8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of FN-221 Milk Glass to the stamped area. Apply 2 coats of FN-215 Aztec Jade to the birds wing and 2 coats of FN-213 Saffire Blue.
  9. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply Brush the flower petals with EL-128 Wheat, centers with FN-213 Saffire Blue.
  10. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of EL-128 Wheat to the flower petals and 2 coats of FN-213 Saffire Blue to the centers.
  11. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of EL-131 Turtle Shell to the leaves, stem and the birds legs.
  12. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, apply 2 coats of EL-127 Rose Granite to the tail feathers and area over the FN-221 Milk Glass.
  13. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner and a CB-110 #10/0 Liner, apply 2 coats of EL-125 Sahara Sands to go around the pattern the remaining and the remaining area of the birds’ body. Then the remainder of the canister using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan. Use messy strokes. Allow to dry.
  14. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
