Instructions

  1. Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
  2. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of FN-012 to the back of the plate. Allow to dry.
  3. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of FN-012 Lavender to the front of the plate. Allow to dry. Apply a third coat of the FN-012 Lavender. While the glaze is still wet, place the paper doily into the wet color. Smooth the doily with your fingers, then flatten with a rubber squeegee.
  4. Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SC-55 Yella Bout It over the holes in the doily and to the rim of the plate. Allow to dry somewhat so that a stamp can be used without lifting off the color.
  5. Mix SC-34 Down to Earth with some SC-55 Yella Bout It to soften the color.
  6. Using the AC-213 Sponge on a Stick load the sponge with the mixed color. Tap off excess color onto a paper towel then tap onto small sections of the ST-366 Fruit Blossoms Stamp. Press the stamp gently onto the Yella Bout It on the border of the plate and over the edges of the paper doily. Continue stamping around the piece. Allow to dry.
  7. After stamping, remove the paper doily. Use a straight pin to lift the edge and have tweezers handy if you need them to remove all the paper.
  8. Using a CB-106 #6 Script Liner, stroke in the petals of the flowers with one stroke of FN-012 Lavender and the centers of the flowers with one stroke of SC-11 Blue Yonder. to the centers. Stroke SC-78 Lime-Light onto the leaves with the CB-106 #6 Script Liner. Allow to dry.
